We headed south once again for Labor Day weekend at Powell. Our summer friends the Gonzales's brought their boat and Nick's friend Matt also came with us. We say summer friends because they always go boating with us and then we get new friends in the winter to snowmobile with. Everyone is always our friends but this is how it works out. The above picture is sunrise at Hall's Crossing marina.

Nick enjoying some wake boarding behind the
Gonzos boat. Not his biggest air, but my favorite pics.

Matt Vaughan and I
climbed to the top of Tapestry Wall. We were roughly 800 feet above lake level at this point and almost 2 miles from where Cindy dropped us off on shore. What a view.

Matt with one of the six species of fish he caught on this trip. Crappie,
Largmouth,
Smallmouth, Catfish, Bluegill and Carp.
Striper is usually the easiest to catch but not on this trip. Nick caught the only one.

Cindy is off on a solo trek exploring some of the beautiful red rock.

Nothing quite like finishing the day with a little butt whooping at a game of dice. I'm sure it was me doing the whooping. It had to be. See how sad the rest of them are.

Which friends are we? I don't believe we fit in the summer or winter category.
Great photos, by the way.
